It is hard to believe that we have been conducting the annual Parker Lecture & Award Ceremony for 40 years! Each year we get another opportunity to lift up, celebrate, honor and get inspired. In these times media justice is more important than ever. Who is fighting disinformation? Making online spaces safe for all? Telling stories that otherwise would not be heard?

Another step closer to prison phone justice

UCC Media Justice's policy advisor was on hand to see the legislation we've worked on so long to make a major step forward: S. 1541, the Martha Wright Prison Phone Justice Act was approved on a unanimous voice vote by the Senate Commerce Committee. Read more.
