Justice Doesn't Stop

UCC Media Justice is working over the holidays

This winter, like many before, we are hard at work ensuring that newest program adopted by Congress to bring broadband to low-income people will serve the people it is intended to serve. We were so fortunate when President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act. Its new Affordable Connectivity Program is a landmark and it goes into effect on December 31. The Federal Communications Commission is working right now to develop rules of the road for the program over the holidays.

Can you support our work this year?

UCC Media Justice is there, scrutinizing the law, reading proposals by industry and other non-profits, working with our partners to be sure we get the best program we can for the people who need it most.

All this so that families around the country will be able to get access to the technology they need to keep connected with each other and their communities; to get good jobs or do homework; or enable them to stay home and stay safe if they need to.

Will you support our work? Last year, many of you supported our $60 for $60 campaign. Can you make it $100 this year to make sure our work can continue? With support from individuals we can make sure that people whose voices aren't heard in communications policy are front-and-center this holiday season and all year long.

Happy holidays! Enjoy your holidays and the new year.

Best wishes from everyone at UCC Media Justice
