New Affordable Internet Program Becomes Law

Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act signed

On Monday, President Biden signed the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act which adopted new programs that will improve affordability of high speed internet and fund digital literacy and inclusion outreach for the first time. It also adopts key non-discrimination provisions for broadband deployment. UCC Media Justice put out a statement celebrating the historic achievement. We will be working hard with our allies to offer input to the Federal Communications Commission as it implements the new law.
