Many of us in the UCC community have just come back from our General Synod, filled with energy and inspiration for our work, our ministries, our deep faith in social justice.
We've come back realizing how much a free and open Internet, is an essential tool for living out our faith. The Internet enables us to stand up and speak out, to take action for a more just world. Without net neutrality, our right to speak and be heard is in jeopardy. This is why UCC OC Inc. founded the Faithful Internet campaign.
Next Wednesday is an internet-wide Day of Action. Organizations and companies from around the country will take action on July 12 to protect net neutrality. Faithful Internet is planning to bring the faith community together to speak out with one voice, and encourage others to sign the petition.
Sign up now to participate in the Day of Action on July 12. Use Facebook or Twitter to automatically encourage your friends and followers to sign the Faithful Internet Net Neutrality petition.
The following week, the Federal Communications Commission will be taking comments on its plan to roll back net neutrality protections, and we'll file the petition.
We still need more signatures to make an impression. Please join us.
