After giving thanks for all the joys around us last week, it’s time for us give special thanks to the nonprofit organizations and charities around the world. Today is Giving Tuesday, a day to stop and consider how a financial contribution can help make social justice a reality.  The media shapes our society's understanding of the world around us; communications is essential for full participation in the economy and our national dialogue.
